The British Council Scholarship for English Teachers, India

With a focus on the use of technology, the British Council Scholarship for English Language Teachers, India seeks to discover and assist a select group of outstanding English language teachers and/or teacher educators in advancing their knowledge and expertise in the field of TESOL.

To boost the likelihood of longer-term participation and broader impact, there will be a wraparound program of alumni activity in addition to the course with the University of Stirling (facilitated by the British Council).

Using a remote learning methodology, students will study part-time for 30 months (24 months of instruction and 6 months of dissertation). Two weeks in the UK with a schedule of social and academic activities will also be advantageous for them.

The scholarship will cover:

  • Full School fees for the MSc TESOL (Online) and Computer Assistance in Language Learning program
  • Allowance for scholarships during their stay in the UK
  •  Flights tickets to and from the UK
  • Hostel accommodation during their stay
